01

What direct wall printing is

Direct wall printing uses a vertical UV printer to apply full-color ink directly to the wall surface. Instead of installing adhesive vinyl, wallpaper, framed artwork, or a painted sign, the artwork is printed onto the existing wall and cured as the machine moves across the surface. The finished graphic feels more integrated with the room, which is why the process works well for reception walls, restaurant murals, retail graphics, school interiors, gym walls, clinic waiting rooms, and branded office spaces.

02

Surfaces and artwork

Most smooth or lightly textured commercial surfaces can be reviewed for printing, including painted drywall, brick, concrete, cinder block, glass, tile, and metal. Logos, abstract graphics, photography, patterns, wayfinding accents, brand colors, and full murals can all work. The final proof should be sized for the real wall, viewing distance, lighting, and surface texture, because a graphic that looks perfect on a monitor may need adjustment when printed across a large wall.

03

Printer clearance matters

A wall printer is a physical machine with rails, a base, and a print head, so artwork cannot usually start directly against an inside corner, ceiling line, floor line, baseboard, outlet, or fixed fixture. This is one of the most important differences between a real wall print and a digital mockup. We confirm the safe printable area before printing so the final graphic has intentional margins and does not look awkwardly cut off by the room.

04

Estimate and installation

Send the wall width and height, surface type, straight-on wall photos, location, and any artwork files. Estimates use surface-based square-foot pricing, an artwork complexity multiplier, a $950 print minimum, and a $150 delivery and printer setup fee. The most useful photos show the entire wall, nearby corners, ceiling line, floor line, outlets, switches, trim, fixtures, furniture, and anything that could limit printer access.

05

Why businesses choose direct wall printing

Direct wall printing is a strong option when the wall graphic needs to feel permanent, clean, and architectural. It avoids vinyl edges that can peel, bubble, or collect dust, and it can conform better to textured surfaces like brick or concrete. For offices, it can turn a blank reception wall into a branded first impression. For restaurants and retail spaces, it can create a photo-worthy feature wall. For clinics, schools, and gyms, it can add atmosphere without hanging frames or installing dimensional signage.

06

How the project works

A typical project starts with wall measurements, photos, surface details, and artwork. After that, we confirm the printable area, prepare a proof, review sizing and placement, and schedule the on-site print. On installation day, the printer is set up in front of the wall, aligned to the approved print area, and the UV ink cures as it prints. Most projects are ready the same day, with no vinyl backing, no wallpaper paste, and no long drying time.

07

Artwork that prints well

Simple logos, bold patterns, high-contrast illustrations, tropical or local-themed murals, oversized photography, and brand color fields can all work well. Fine detail should be designed for the wall size and viewing distance. If the wall is brick, cinder block, or heavily textured, larger shapes and stronger contrast usually perform better than tiny lines or small text.

08

Serving Orlando and Central Florida

Print To Wall serves commercial spaces across Orlando and Central Florida, including Winter Park, Lake Mary, Sanford, Orange County, and Seminole County. The service is built for businesses that want a finished interior without waiting on a traditional mural painter or dealing with vinyl graphics that may not fit the wall texture.

Service FAQ

Wall Printing FAQ

Everything you need to know about professional UV direct-to-wall printing projects.

Is direct wall printing the same as vinyl wall graphics?

No. Vinyl is an adhesive film installed on top of the surface. Direct wall printing applies UV-cured ink directly to the wall, so there is no vinyl edge to peel or lift.

Can you print all the way to the ceiling, floor, or corner?

Usually no. The printer needs clearance for its rails, base, and print head, so the artwork normally needs margins near inside corners, ceiling lines, floor lines, baseboards, outlets, and fixtures.

What do you need for an estimate?

The best estimate starts with wall width, wall height, surface type, location, straight-on wall photos, nearby obstacles, and any artwork files you already have.

What surfaces can be printed?

Painted drywall is the most common surface, but brick, concrete, cinder block, glass, tile, and metal can also be reviewed for direct UV printing depending on prep, access, and artwork.

How is pricing calculated?

Pricing is based on square footage, surface rate, artwork complexity, a $950 print minimum, and a $150 delivery and printer setup fee.

How long does installation take?

Many commercial wall printing projects can be completed the same day once artwork, placement, wall condition, and access are approved.
